Start a Maths lesson with a football penalty shoot out! GOOOOAAALLL!

Football and Maths

All credit goes to who created these great resources. I used the games below with a low ability group to celebrate the start of the recent world cup and it went down a treat. A great atmosphere was created at the start of the lesson as learners answered Maths questions on solving equations and adding subtracting. If a question was answered correctly then they had the opportunity to take a penalty shot.

I found boys v girls worked well, created great competition and kept all learners engaged. A wonderful starter!
