I think it will be 60-66 to get garde C In higher tier.
Thanks for your predictions, let’s see how it goes!
are you feeling okay? do you know how hard that paper will be then.
did you do the paper today if so do you think your prediction will change?
No, last year was 66% to get an A, so probably around 60% for an A this year
Last year it was 57 for a C between both papers. With the response from people this year surely it will be 50 at most and around 25 per paper
I honestly feel a B would be 92 marks overall and A 130 marks
What do you think you need for an A* then
You realise there are only 100 marks
Its over two papers so 2 x 100= 200
Any clue of the GCSE Maths grade boundary?
that paper was bloody hard!!
I reckon I got between 60-65 will that be enough for a b on that paper ?
You’ll potentially get at least an A, but there’s a chance that you will slightly fall off to a B grade.
I got f**** by the exam I think I got 60/100 🙁
What would 60-70/200 be? Estimate?
That is potentially around Grade C.
Yer what would 40/100 be and will grade boundaries go down, plus does thus include working marks and is paper 2 on here yet?
what would be a c grade
last year it was 57 to get a C so this year it would maybe be 50 or less if you are lucky i work at edexcel by the way
im joking i am in year 11
i think I got around 70 marks over both papers. What should I expect from 70/200?
I think I got 78 on one and 81 or 82 on the other paper. I really want an a star as my class is the top class and we are all expected a stars (Im in year 10 btw ). that means I probs got 159 or 158. I know one year it was only 157 for a star (2010) so hopefully it will be like that this year as the papers were thought to be tricky. im so angry it was nothing like past papers we have done before. no circle theorems, direct or inverse proportion , stratified sampling, recipes or exponential graphs! not even cosine rule for calc paper! Do you think it will be that low this year or higher? what do you think my grade will be? thanks x
I will be so upset if I miss an a star by a few marks </3
For hannahs sweets, i worked out n was tem and substituted it into the formula of n squared minus n minus 90 to prove it equalled Zero. I know i didnt use the normal method of using the probability but i still got the answer and teachers used to say they dont care which method u use as long as u get the answer. Becuase of this i was wondering will u get all three marks for proving it equalles zero or not since i used part b to solve a. As i said will they care i used another method even though i proved it?
Yeah same, I think we lose marks for working, as its not the method that Edexcel “wants”
I am in year 10, i did the edexcel papers and i have no idea but i hope i got at least an A. I know next year they are making it much tougher with the grades being from 1-9 instead of U-A*. If i get an A i wont retake it next year but how much do you think it is to get an A
Those exams were messed up so if I am being honest I believe they will drastically change it down just for this year - so C will be 50 B will be 85-87 A - 125-130 A* 160
Are these the actual grade boundaries that are posted currently?
*The grade boundaries are predictions and I will be putting up the published ones as soon as they are released.
Watch this space.
Official grade boundaries: 65 for a C and 125 for an A , 155 for A*
Lol I got 49 in my first paper and 49 in my second paper and i’m in y9. How would i improve to get a higher mark in future?
