What is MyMaths?
MyMaths is an online maths teaching and learning tool that helps Maths teachers to set homework and allows pupils to do their homework at home online over the internet, at their own pace. Every task has a corresponding lesson and it makes learning Maths fun and interactive.
Will MyMaths replace writtern homework tasks?
Defintely not! MyMaths compliments classroom maths lessons that the pupil experiences.
How do we know homework has been set?
When a user logs into MyMaths, the main screen will show the set homework task in the middle of the first screen. It will either say Homework task or Booster Pack. When the pupil clicks on it, they will be taken to online maths homework. The task will disappear when the Maths task is completed.
What happens if the pupil gets struggles with the Maths task ?
If the pupil is stuck on a particular task, they can look at the corressponding lesson and they can work through the tutorial before they have another go Maths task.
Can pupils play the games and do the booster packs without them being set?
Definitely, learners are encouraged to try games and any booster packs which are at their appropriate level.
How do I submit results to the teacher on MyMaths?
MyMaths works on sections of questions being completed in one go. Once this is done the pupil must press the “Checkout” button that appears on the left hand side to update the results page. If you don’t press this the results then the data will not be entered and recorded against the pupil’s name.
When I look at the results the scores have not been updated?
The pupil can either logout and log back in to see the scores, or if the pupil wants to see them straight away, then press the “Refresh” button at the bottom of the main page.
